Today I'm going to analyse the releationship between colored text and the efficiency of people's reading.
As you can see, people's reading is becoming more and more fragged, and their ability of getting main plots of articles has been downgraded. So can colored text help them to get the main ideas? The answer is yes. Here are some examples.
[Example 1] When you are reciting polictics' textbooks, maybe you'll see some paragraphs like this:
Through the long period of practise, humans have formed lots of knowledge in their minds, and these knowledge can be categorized into three kinds-- Natural Science, Cognitive Science, and Social Science. As for philosophy, it concluded the basic thoughts of them. (PEP Textbook 4 of politics)
If we colored the critical words of this paragraph, then we can found the important parts.
Through the long period of practise, humans have formed lots of knowledge in their minds, and these knowledge can be categorized into three kinds-- Natural Science, Cognitive Science, and Social Science. As for philosophy, it concluded the basic thoughts of them.
[Example 2] You've passed the national college entrance exam, and it's time for filling a sheet of "the top 80 universities that you want to go" to the provincial exam authority. Your senior high provided a huge book for you to find what university you can go, but it's very hard to read since the information on every page is too complexed. Then make marks on the text is vital.
[Example 3] Analysing materials on the paper is a really big deal. Reports, news, notice and other annoying texts needs colored texts.
So, we can know that coloring texts surely make a sence. It's a useful tool for us to deal with texts, and improve our efficiency of reading.
But if you are trying to study something, do not trust your first impression to mark on your text book, and fall into the trap of "unmarked words is not important".
